The Heart Center at U of MI C.S. Motts Children’s Hospital offers state of the art diagnostic and treatment facilities. As an international referral center for children with complex congenital heart problems, approximately 850 heart operations are performed here each year.
A Walk to Remember & Tree Memorial
Annual event taking place in October in Ann Arbor Michigan to lessen the isolation so often felt by parents who have lost a child. The event is brings families together who bring so much love and honor to their child’s memory. “We walk for the steps they will never take.”

It’s My Heart
It's My Heart is a free resource book (read online) for patients and families affected by congenital heart defects. In plain, understandable language It's My Heart provides descriptions of the types of congenital heart defects and acquired pediatric heart conditions your child may face. Along with explanations of the various tests, surgical procedures, and treatments for CHD's, this book also contains helpful diagrams, a glossary of medical terms, and much, much more. It's My Heart was developed over a number of years by a dedicated group of doctors, nurses and parents in a collaborative effort spearheaded by The Children's Heart Foundation.

We purchased over 100 books called “The Angel with the Golden Glow” I have sent almost 20 out other families who have lost a child & the rest we are donating to U of MI hospital. What a sweet children’s book that we even find comforting to read. A heart family we know from email (littlehearts.org) sent it to us (thank you again Lois). It is just one of the many things we will do in the future in Severin’s memory. We will always be advocates of CHD awareness/research the #1 birth defect of babies! - Amy Brenny

C.H.I.N. is an international organization that provides reliable information, support services and resources to families of children with congenital heart defects and acquired heart disease, adults with congenital heart defects, and the professionals who work with them.
“Circle of Hearts” is an online fundraising and awareness campaign designed to educate friends and family about Congenital Heart Defects, and raise money to support the programs and services provided by The Congenital Heart Information Network.
